MBSC DATA REGISTRY

DATA SOURCE

Participating hospitals submit data from a review of medical records on all patients undergoing bariatric surgery. Information collected includes preoperative patients characteristics as well as perioperative clinical care and outcomes.

SITE AUDITS

Annual visits by nurse auditors from the coordinating center is performed to verify the accuracy and completeness of the clinical registry data.

PATIENT SURVEYS

The MBSC surveys patients who consent to participate at baseline and annually following bariatric surgery. Data collected includes weight loss, quality of life, and comorbidity remission.
